Jan Harris

While art & design have always been my first love, they had to wait a long time to come to the forefront as I had to "work for a living". Taking classes in fine arts in college and beyond, my first focus was photography until I retired from the corporate world and could devote more time to painting. While on a corporate gig in Baltimore I had the opportunity to take classes in interior design at the Maryland Institute College of Art and later completed a Design Certification through The Sheffield School in NYC. After moving to Hilton Head in 2012, I began to see all the natural beauty around me and wanted to capture it in watercolors. I work on both watercolor paper and canvas and also colored pencils and ink.
