Jan Hutchins

Jan Hutchins, television celebrity, publicist, keynote speaker, leadership expert and coach, former TV newscaster and Mayor of Los Gatos, started life in Danville, Illinois, but was raised on a farm in Wooster, Ohio. Mr. Hutchins excelled in school, graduating at the top of his class. After high school, he attended Yale University, where in 1969; he and some of his classmates were tear-gassed while taking part in a demonstration.

He went on, after college, to work for AT&T; then after a year decided to try journalism. During his twenty plus years in journalism, Mr. Hutchins was a TV sportscaster and a newscaster in the Bay area, won numerous awards, and chaired several boards.

After his years in journalism, he became disillusion, left to work for the San Francisco Giants, and ran their community public relations. Eventually he left there and tried his hand as a publicist in Silicon Valley, helping to raise a millions of dollar to research and develop a robotic golf caddy.

Mr. Jan Hutchins was also involved in politics, serving four years on the city council and eventually became mayor of Los Gatos, California, where he directed the town's advancement in policies, services, and future endeavors and led production of a system to enhance residential participation in the government. Even though many wanted Mr. Hutchins to run for congress, he decided against it and once again changed career paths.

After he left his political career behind, he opened up a yoga center, where for eleven years he has taught yoga.

In 2012, Mr. Hutchins and his wife, Olga Kostrova, started SocialAgenda Media, where they help their clients build their brands with thought leadership marketing, media exposure, social marketing, crowdfunding campaigns and other marketing programs.

Jan Hutchins is very active in his community and volunteers his time to different help organizations raise money at their annual fundraisers. Using his leadership and publicist skills, he has help raise millions of dollars.
