I am a computer scientist with 14 years of experience in development of modern webapplications for mobile and desktop devices using adequate web standards and technologies.

I founded my first company (roesner.it) in 2001 already, followed by a second founding (ShipBids GmbH) in 2009 both featuring web application development using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and related technologies. During the last years I worked as a freelancer for several internet startup's in Germany.

Several years of work as an employee beforehand build experience as an UI/UX designer, api-, backend- and frontend-developer, but also solution architect, project manager as well as business developer.

Besides web application development I gathered skills at offline marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), affiliate marketing and partner acquisition.

Today I enjoy working as a senior level freelancer, lead developer or consultant for several well known companies and startups making use of most modern technologies of responsive web application development. Besides that I contribute to a number of open source projects, publish a ruby gem from time to time and work at different side projects as well.
