Jana
Granada, Spain.
Hello everybody,
I am Jana De Borger and I am studying Translation and Interpretation at the Catholic University of Leuven in Antwerp. At the moment, Granada is my hometown, because I am here to study for 6 months.
My mother tongue is Dutch; I study French and Spanish; I speak English and currently I've started lessons of Arabic.
For quiet some years now I am an activist for the socialist party in Belgium. I think in our society, socialism is the only way to lead us to a futur and so I consider that it is important to keep fighting for our rights and democracy all over the world.
Besides all that, I am fond of music. I play the guitar, the flute and love to sing!
As I am interested in languages and cultures, I also like to travel and see the world. I already visited some really interesting countries, but I would love to see some more of the world.
For now, I keep studying, but in a couple of years I see myself working as an interpreter. I think that interpreting is and important job in a world that keeps changing and needs more and better communication because of the globalisation and evolution of technology.
