Janaé (ya-nae) Lynn Robinson is the founder of a Girl Empowerment/Mentoring Program at an afterschool Organization, Family Focus, located in Evanston, Illinois. "A Girl's Positive Self-Image Project" works to empower young girls of color while molding them into the women who will lead tomorrow. Her mission statement is: "To instill endless confidence, to inspire, to build the girl within forever." She works endlessly to bring weekly sessions to the girls of Family Focus. Each and every day her curriculum builds through the exploration of the following themes: Self-Confidence, Loving Yourself, Combating Social Media, Authenticity, and many more. All activities are geared toward benefiting them as the young, beautiful girls they are.

Janaé is the proud owner of commitment, energy, drive, and determination. She is a self-made young lady and a self-directed learner. In the classroom and in other activities, she is relentless in her pursuit of excellence. Janaé strives to demonstrate a sense of ownership for her success. She's fierce, outgoing, passionate, and sophisticated.
