J. Andrew Macdonnell

Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell practices cosmetic, family, and general dentistry in Kelowna, British Columbia, the city in which he was born. Dedicated to his home city, Dr. Macdonnell runs several programs for community support through his own dental office. Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell also volunteers his services and other resources for the Community Dental Day, an event put on once a year by the BC Dental Association that helps bring proper dental treatment to individuals with disadvantaged financial situations. Consistently involved in a variety of charitable programs, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell sponsors Fill the Van for Sally Ann, which helps less fortunate members of the local community by gathering resources for a nearby food bank. Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell also donates to Run for the Cure, an event that supports breast cancer research through the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Studying in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell graduated from The University of British Columbia’s Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) program in 1994. He founded his private practice, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell Inc., in the same year. Before earning his DMD, he completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at The University of British Columbia. Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell refined his skills through programs in general and cosmetic dentistry at the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Kois Center, LLC, where he took courses in advanced dentistry. Widely respected among his fellow dental professionals, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell earned official recognition from the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. The Academy of Operative Dentistry lauded Dr. Macdonnell’s high standards for patient care. Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell received certifications from both The College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and the National Dental Examining Board of Canada. Active within professional organizations outside of the medical field, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell belongs to the Okanagan Business Referral Group. For 12 years, Dr. J. Andrew Macdonnell also participated in the Thompson Okanagan Tucker Affiliated Study Club, an organization that he formerly led as President. The club focuses on the process involved in the production of exceptionally fine gold dental work.
