In 2000 I left my job as Curator of British Art at the University of Glasgow, retrained in horticulture and founded Snapdragon. Initially I grew flowers for the domestic cut flower market and then in 2005 moved the business into textiles - creating custom made freehand embroidered gifts.

In 2008 I moved the business away from the kitchen table and into its own studio workshop - now we are a team of 5 creating custom made personalised gifts, mainly embroidered mirrors, mugs, bags and notebooks.

At present we are investing in increased production capacity, new equipment and expanding the workshop.
