I am an Early Years Music Practitioner Researcher who firmly believes that everyone can contribute musically to a child’s life, using music as a natural way of embracing all areas of development and well being. As a forward thinking practitioner, I not only consider what is best practice, but rather look towards ‘next’ practice. Having completed an MA in Early Years Music Education at CREC, I am now working at Take Art on a number of Early Years projects including 'SoundWaves' the Early Years Music Network for the South West. My passion is to act as a bridge between academic research in early years music education and the practitioners on the ground. Part of my work includes running sessions working with musicians, Early Years practitioners and families at an array of settings and children’s centres. I very much enjoy leading workshops that help early years practitioners develop self reflection and self efficacy to develop and expand the musical experiences of young children.
