Jane Boogaard

My name is Jane Boogaard and I believe that everyone can make a difference, no matter how small. I care passionately about the environment and try to live as sustainably as possible.

I love being an entrepreneur. Before moving to the Netherlands eight years ago and having kids, my husband and I lived in the beautiful city of Porto in Portugal. There, I saw a need for healthy sandwiches, salads, fresh juices etc. so I invested in a slicing machine and started from home. Via connections I started delivering to law offices, banks, all kinds of businesses that needed something tasty, convenient and not too expensive. Within two years, I opened a sixty-seater cafe on one of the main avenues. I was asked to provide catering at the National Theatre, as my previous career in London was as an actress on the West End Stage. This led to an events company, hosting corporate parties with all the fun extras.

My kids are now ten and six and it’s never been a better time to return to work. People know they should reduce plastic consumption and live more sustainably, but life can get in the way and priorities change. I want to make it easier to live sustainably, removing barriers, by providing quick local deliveries and as low cost to you as possible.
