Jane Coogan
Partner Coogan Smith LLP in Attleboro, MA, USA
I’m a Partner at Coogan Smith, LLP in Attleboro, Massachusetts, where I focus on estate planning, business formation, succession planning, and probate law. I’ve been practising for more than 15 years, and what I love most about my work is helping people make sense of complex, often emotional decisions about their families and futures. I believe empathy and clear communication are just as important as legal knowledge when guiding clients through major life moments.
I grew up in Attleboro, the youngest of five children, and always knew I wanted to serve the community that shaped me. After graduating from Bishop Feehan High School, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross, followed by my JD and LLM in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. I began my career at Feingold and Edelblum in New Jersey before returning home to join Coogan Smith in 2014.
Outside of work, I serve on the boards of the Sturdy Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Attleboro YMCA, and Friends of St. John the Evangelist School. I’m also a past President of the Attleboro Area Bar Association. I enjoy running, skiing, and spending time with my two daughters and our golden retriever, Clark.
