Janet Soto

My name is Janet Soto and I was born in Chicago, Illinois to Mexican-American parents, but moved to Laredo, Texas while I was still an infant. I grew up and attended J.C. Martin Elementary School, then L. J. Christen Middle School, and then R. T. Martin High School. I continued on to get my higher education in Laredo Community College, for a brief period, but soon after I transferred to Montemorelos University in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. It was a great experience to study in another country. However, I once again transferred to my current school, Southwestern Adevntist Univeristy to be able to have a degree from the United States. Currently, I am pursuing a career, Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Southwestern Adventist University. My future plans regarding my career are to work in a Psychology-related job to get experience in the field, once I graduate and soon after obtain my masters degree also in Psychology. I have been interested in Psychology since high school and take it to be a rewarding and reciprocal field, after taking part in medical brigades, psychological sessions, applying psychological tests, and even volunteering in a Behavioral Health Community Center. I truly believe I can be a useful instrument to the lives of others that I will interact with in the near future .
