Janet Chollet
As the Director of Clinical Affairs at Pear Tree Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Waltham, Massachusetts, Dr. Janet Chollet maintains responsibility for managing the facility's ongoing research and development projects. Pear Tree Pharmaceuticals concentrates its efforts on treatments and preventative measures for the symptoms and conditions associated with cancer chemotherapy and menopause. Dr. Chollet joined the company in 2004 and played an integral role in its development, helping to establish the initial business plan and leading the procurement of Series A financing. Aside from her work at Pear Tree, Dr. Janet Chollet has served as a Staff Physician and Instructor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since 2007. In this position, she teaches OB/GYN care to Harvard medical students and residents while conducting her own clinical casework.
Dr. Janet Chollet belongs to the American Medical Association, the North American Menopause Society, and the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She holds board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as medical licensure in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Over the course of her career, Dr. Chollet has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and received patents for her innovations involving the treatment of atrophic vaginitis.
Dr. Janet Chollet received her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and underwent the Juris Doctor Degree program at the North Dakota School of Law. In addition, she received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After earning her medical degree, Dr. Chollet completed her internship and residency training at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Women's Hospital. She subsequently served a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas through the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Janet Chollet spent several years gaining experience with private practices and hospital staffs before assuming her current role with Pear Tree.
