19 - Limerick, Ireland - BA (Honours) Business with Sports Management

I'm a 19 year old, 2nd year student in LIT. I'm studying for an honours degree in Business with Sports Management. I currently work part time for Centra. I am heavily involved in sport - I currently play junior camogie for my local team, senior gaelic football for my local team as well as the Limerick ladies gaelic football team. I currently play soccer with my college but I was previously a member of the Limerick FC ladies team.

I have a great interest in coaching sports also. I am currently a soccer coach at Regional United FC. I also coach at various soccer camps every year and am a GAA Cúl camp coach.

I would love to pursue my studies in disability sports. Thankfully, my course does focus on disability sports and I have been lucky enough to be involved in some great disability sports events. I found a great interest to me and it is a topic that is close to my heart.

Another big interest of mine is technology and social media. Throughout my education, I have used a lot of technology. I attended a secondary school where we were taught through the use of laptops and phone apps which makes me well accustomed to the use of technology. I have also had various IT modules in college which aid my skills. I have qualifications in Microsoft, excel and word which I first completed in 4th year of school at the age of 16. I was assigned the role of social media manager for 2 large projects whilst in school and through my work, I was able to promote the events and increase the attendance to more than double the previous year.

I carried out this work as part of my digital media module in college. This module is part of the Business with Sports Management course (LC295) at Limerick Institute of Technology.
