I have owned (7) dogs throughout my life including an Old English Sheepdog, Samoyed, German Shepard, Border Collie mix, Shih tzu mix, Rotweiller mix and my current yellow Lab, Kona. Kona joined my family as an 8 week old puppy and is now 9 yrs. old.

I had a career in showing my Old English and then spend 5 years in a dog grooming career. All of my pups were long time companions and all left this world in their own time. Becoming a parent to a disabled dog was new to me and my last 3 1/2 years of experience brings me to blog about the trial, tribulations and my inner most joys in taking care of this wonderful canine.

I have (3) grown children, (3) grandchildren and love to travel. By the way, I also house sit anywhere in the U.S. as long as my disabled companion is accepted.

I will blog about what has worked for me and what has been a complete disaster in treatment, products and any other information which I feel would help parents of disabled dogs.
