I am a member of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Pacific Northwest Writers Association (PNWA).

I completed the University of Washington Writing for Children Certificate Program, and meet regularly with a critique group that formed during that program.

I am currently working on picture books and three books for older children, including a pun-filled underwater mystery. My style is quirky, original, and whimsical, with a strong visual appeal.

I am influenced by an eclectic mix of experiences in the performing arts and creative writing, and by a deep love of the natural world.
