Janet Valeri

Janet Valeri is the principal of the Nashua School District’s Ledge Street Elementary School, the only Franklin Covey Lighthouse School in New Hampshire and the 67th in the world. She previously served the Nashua School District as a district-wide, strategic-planning coordinator and a principal at Amherst Street School. All told, Janet Valeri has amassed 12 years of experience as the principal of elementary schools that the federal government has designated schools “in need of improvement.”

Janet Valeri’s accomplishments at these schools include improving overall teacher leadership abilities, boosting student achievement and attendance rates, and decreasing behavioral and special education referrals. Working through the United States Department of Education, she also secured $1.5 million in grant funding to support a Mental Health and Schools project at both Ledge Street School and Amherst Street School. In addition to working directly with students and teachers, Ms. Valeri is an accredited consultant for SRA/McGraw Hill Publishers and Visual Mathematics.
