Janice Wu

Janice Wu is a high school senior passionate about health sciences and HOSA.

She knew the health field was where she would thrive even as a child. A passion for helping is an important aspect to consider when pursuing such a field and Janice has just that. She is currently a certified nurse aide at a nursing home where she loves caring for her residents and enjoys volunteering at the hospital during her free time. Future goals including pursuing a Ph.D in Neuroscience as the brain is her favorite organ and using that knowledge and fascination to contribute to the ongoing research.

HOSA - future health professionals is an organization Janice fell in love with the moment she joined. This organization, recognized by the United States Department of Education as the only national organization geared exclusively towards those interested in health sciences, is an organization full of opportunities to grow and thrive. Janice has been elected by her peers state-wide to represent them as Wisconsin HOSA State President for the 2013 - 2014 year. She is both humbled and honored to lead her team in bettering Wisconsin HOSA for its current, future and alumni members. For HOSA inquiries, please contact Janice at [email protected] or visit wisconsinhosa.weebly.com.

She believes beauty is in the details, and thrives on change and challenges. Above all, she has a thirst for learning, exploring, and evolving – and this thing called life.
