Jan Louie Uy

A highly accomplished and motivated scholar, Louie was born in the Philippines in 1986. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree in the University of the Philippines (UP), where he developed his passion for activism and peace advocacy. He is currently taking his Master of Arts in Bible & Theology with the Lincoln Christian University in USA. On the other hand, Jackie, a bubbly and vigorous medical enthusiast, was born and raised also in the Philippines in the same year. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in the Far Eastern University (FEU), where she cultivated her fervor in serving people in need. During their campus years in Manila, both were called and baptized to Christ with the Metro Manila Christian Church (MMCC) in 2005 and 2004 respectively.

In the Manila church, Louie and Jackie served and co-led a Bible Talk in the MMCC Quezon City Campus Ministry. They have been actively involved in various roles in the church, including leading groups in the Campus and serving disciples in the Youth and Singles Ministries. Both are passionate in pursuing their dream to join mission teams, to plant a church, and to be part of the Full Time Ministry.

The year 2007 marked a different chapter in their lives when Jackie decided to go to Singapore to look for a better opportunity to practice her nursing profession. Louie joined her in 2009, and both were called into the Full Time Ministry with the Central Christian Church (CCC) of Singapore in 2011. Since their inception into the Singapore church, Louie and Jackie have taken on leadership roles, including leading a special Singles’ Mission Bible Talk. They have also taken other volunteer roles such as songleading in worship services and helping out in coordinating activities for the Filipino disciples.

With their big heart for the mission, they wholeheartedly embraced the call to move to Malaysia. They are grateful to serve and lead the Central Christian Church (CCC) of Malaysia in Pulau Pinang in January 2016.

Louie and Jackie were married in August 2010 and they have one daughter, Summer Olivia. Both enjoy listening to music, reading books, watching movies, travelling to different places, and hanging out with their friends.
