25 year career in IT defining architectures, enterprise IT strategies, product and competitive strengths, serving customers, large audiences, partner networks and creating new ideas.
I started my career as Infrastructure Architect, Information Systems Architect, Developer and IT Professional. At the age of 30 I became the CIO of City of Helsinki (18000 PC's and over 43000 employees). Next 15 years I worked for Microsoft, creating technology strategies with long term contracts with Nokia, Sonera and Elisa. For several years I was part of defining the strategy for Microsoft itself and member of board. Last seven years were most unique expertise I've had this far, working with 90 000 Finnish IT-professionals and networking with the top Gurus in Finland. That defined the future direction for me.
Curiosity, passion to learn, innovate and adopt new things has been a driving force in my life. 30 years ago, I made my first commercial software at age of 15. It was an adventure game for Sinclair Spectrum. My passion to use technology to create new experiences and ways do business hasn’t faded a bit since, but the size of my adventure has grown to size of large multinational corporations. Now I'm sharing the knowledge I have gathered to all sizes of businesses and organizations.
At the spare time I love to spend time with my wife, daughter, two cats, tinker with my vintage car, ride my motorcycle, fix our house and study history, technology, psychology and communication to learn more and get new fresh ideas.
