Jannette Rodriguez-Otero

I’m a fourth year biotechnology undergraduate student at Universidad Del Este of Carolina, P.R. The university gave me the opportunity to be part of the Honors Program in which I had the opportunity to work with the community on several occasions. My main goals are to finish graduate school with a Ph.D. degree and develop myself not only as a researcher but also in the area of pedagogy specifically in the field of molecular science. In order to achive this I have been exposing my self to different areas of research such as microbiology, neurobiology and molecular science. In the present I’m working in the University of Puerto Rico- Rio Piedras Campus (UPR-RP) with Jose E. García Arrarás. In this laboratory I’m working in a new project that try to characterize the formation of neuronal fibers and to document the undergoing changes during intestinal regeneration of the sea cucumber, Holothuria glaberrima.
