Jan Thijs

Jan Thijs was born and raised in Belgium. He currently lives in Hudson, Quebec (Canada). He has worked as a photographer in film and television for 25 years translating each unique director's narrative into single frames wich tell the full story.

He has worked on locations throughout Canada, as well as internationally: Australia, North and South Africa, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Russia, Europe, and Central America. Jan's work is unique in that he work's on projects large and small, commercial or experimental, European, American, or Canadian.

He is a member of I.A.T.S.E. 667 (Toronto) as well as A.Q.T.I.S. (Province of Quebec). He is based in Toronto/Montreal, carries a Canadian & European passport and is fluent in English, French, German and Dutch.
