Jan Wharton
I am a freelance writer who lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with my husband and three young sons. I write for a number of health, parenting, family and women’s publications and the Winston-Salem Journal. As an MFA candidate in Creative Writing, I wrote a collection of short stories, and as a graduate student in child clinical psychology, I published articles in national research journals. I have also worked on numerous grant proposals as a graduate student and research coordinator at Duke University and Saint Louis University.
We live in the historic West End neighborhood of Winston-Salem. In my precious free time, I enjoy playing music, reading, photography, cooking, and exploring the neighborhood or just digging in the dirt with my three sons.
