Hey everyone! My name is Jared and I am a senior at Washington State, originally from Vancouver, WA. I am pursuing a double degree in Political Science Pre-Law and Philosophy Pre-Law with minors in Ethics, Sociology, and Sports Management here at Washington State University.
What do you want to be when you "grow up" and why?
I want to go to law school after I graduate from Washington State and when I grow I hope to become a corporate attorney. I realized in high school how much I enjoyed learning about politics and the constitution which got me interested in a possible legal based major in college. I also really enjoy the art of argument and finding flaws in others reasoning. :)
Why did you choose WSU?
In all honesty, my senior year in high school I was really set on going to another state institution. I was accepted to both and so I decided to visit WSU just to see. When I arrived on campus I instantly fell in love. I had already toured the other university and before I even left campus I knew that WSU was the place for me, and I haven't looked back since.
Favorite campus spot:
My favorite spot on campus would have to be on top of the Terrell Library. You can see all of the north side of campus and look into Martin stadium and you also have a great view of Kamiak Butte in the distance.
What advice do you have for Cougar parents?
If there is one piece of advice that I could give to a new Coug parent it would be to be knowledgeable about your students college experience, as well as the financial aid process. Also, stay involved with your students life. Understand that independence accompanies college, but also that sometimes they will need some help and advice from their lifelong pal, their parents.

I am heavily involved with my Fraternity on campus and have served as an executive board member. I also currently sit as an ASWSU Senator representing the College of Arts and Sciences.
