Jared Aller
Jared Aller serves as a Partner at Enlisted Design, a cutting-edge Oakland, California, industrial and general design studio he co-founded in 2008. Specializing in packaging, multimedia, industrial design, and branding, Mr. Aller and the multidisciplinary team at Enlisted Design work closely with clients to develop creative design solutions and deliver a user-focused product experience. Jared Aller and his team boast an impressive list of prominent clients that includes Logitech, Verizon Wireless, NETGEAR, Nestlé S.A., and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Outside of his myriad responsibilities at Enlisted Design, Jared Aller devotes his time and energy to a number of additional design-based business ventures. He teamed up with two of his fellow Bay Area designers to create Urbio, a unique new product line of stylish, modular, eco-plastic planters designed to bring space-efficient greenery to notoriously small urban living spaces. Urbio planters stick to walls or ferrous surfaces easily thanks to powerful neodymium magnets, making it possible for urban dwellers to mount a single plant on the wall or create vertical Urbio garden arrays. Jared Aller and his Urbio partners recently secured funding for the tooling portion of their project via Kickstarter.com and plan to bring their line of Urbio products to the market in the near future. A multitalented creative professional, Mr. Aller also maintains involvement with Haptica, LLC, a burgeoning design firm currently working to transform an award-winning Braille watch concept into a marketable product. Jared Aller attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and received his Industrial Design degree in 2005. While completing coursework at the highly regarded art school, Mr. Aller spent one year as an industrial designer for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Jared Aller next accepted a designer position with NewDealDesign LLC, where he worked on a variety of projects until leaving the firm to co-found Enlisted Design.
