Jared Rutkoff

Independent Professional / Retired Law Enforcement in Hemet, CA, USA

I’m Jared Rutkoff — a Navy veteran, former police detective, and proud father. I was born and raised in San Diego, where I grew up playing baseball, football, golf, and ice hockey at Rancho Bernardo High School. My parents, Glenell and David Rutkoff, taught me the value of service and hard work — my mom was a nurse and my dad a naval officer. After graduating high school in 1998, I attended Palomar College Police Academy, where I earned the Top Gun Award before joining the U.S. Navy in 2001.

During my service, I worked as a Gunner’s Mate (E5) and received the Retired Officers Association Leadership Award for my dedication and leadership. After an honorable discharge, I joined the Beaumont Police Department, where I served from 2005 to 2012, including several years as a narcotics detective. In 2007, I was honored as Officer of the Year.

In 2014, I earned my bachelor’s degree in history from National University, graduating magna cum laude. Outside of work, I’m passionate about coaching youth baseball and softball, weightlifting, cooking, and spending time with my kids. I believe success comes from effort, perseverance, and never giving up — if I’ve tried my hardest, I’ve already succeeded.
