Software Engineer and Writer in Summerville SC

I’m a software engineer, writer, and lifelong nerd who believes creativity and logic aren’t opposites — they’re partners.

By day, I build software. I’ve spent over two decades working in engineering, focusing on APIs, integrations, and designing systems that help complex platforms talk to each other. I’m drawn to the architecture side of development — the invisible scaffolding that makes everything work. Clean interfaces, thoughtful abstractions, and well-designed systems genuinely excite me. There’s something deeply satisfying about turning complexity into clarity through code.

By night (and early morning, and whenever I can steal the time), I write fiction.

I’m currently working on my first novel — a science fiction story exploring identity, power, and what it means to become more than you were designed to be. Writing gives me a different kind of problem to solve. Instead of debugging systems, I’m debugging characters. Instead of designing APIs, I’m designing worlds.

At my core, I’m just someone who loves building things — whether that’s a scalable backend service, an integration between platforms, or an entirely new universe on the page.

And yes, I’m a nerd in the best sense of the word. I love diving deep into ideas. I get excited about new technology (especially AI), story structure, game design, and the way fictional worlds are constructed. I enjoy video games, movies, TV shows, and the endless rabbit holes that come with being curious about how everything works.
