Jared Roberts

Hello! My name is Jared Roberts. I am an undergraduate at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign studying communication. I work for the United States Air Force as a Network Administrator.

My ideal future career is one in the fields of marketing and/or public relations. Being a member of the military, I'm always marketing the military and what they stand for. Not only that, but the reputation of the military is kept through people like me that represent them in a professional manner.

I have learned so many skills from being in the military that help me with the career path I want to follow. Through the military, I have aquired strong leadership skills through leadership training and taking on tasks at my military job. I have also learned how to be professional, as I am always having to interact with leadership and update them on jobs or assisting them with computer related issues.

I have also learned many important skills from my timeat Panera Bread. I have learned great people skills, as interacting with customers is a key component of the job. I've also learned how to market products. When a customer asks how a certain item is, we have to know every detail about the product so that customers have all the information they need to make a decision.

With my background in customer service and military service, I bring a diverse skill set that would be a huge asset to any company.
