Taichung, Taiwan

Originally from New Zealand, I currently live in Taichung City, Taiwan, where I've been since 2009.

I have a BA in film, television and media studies, and while studying was a regular contributor to a number of New Zealand culture publications including Pavement and Pulp Magazine. In 2006, I co-founded the Show Me Shorts Film Festival, which continues to be held once a year in Auckland. This was also the year that I moved to Melbourne, Australia, where I worked for three years as an editor of biographical and reference texts.

I joined online contemporary art magazine Art Radar Journal as a contributor in January 2010 and became Editor in June of the same year. I left the role of editor in June 2013 and now work as a Course Tutor on the magazine's Certificate in Art Journalism & Writing 101 and as a freelance writer for Art Radar Journal, Surface Asia, Dwell Asia and Tasting Kitchen among other publications.
