Jaroslav Zlamal

My research focuses on nursing education, simulation, and technology, aiming to figure out how digital tools and guidance models help nursing students and healthcare staff build critical thinking, self-efficacy, and hands on clinical skills.

I currently work as a Competency Developer/Advisor at Vestfold Hospital Trust's Clinical Simulation Centre, where I lead two projects advancing that work further: PVC-TRAIN, funded by the Research Council of Norway, exploring AI-enabled social robots for peripheral venous catheter skills training; and SKILLTRAIN ABS, implementing an advanced birth simulator to strengthen clinical training for healthcare personnel.

I've published extensively in JMIR journals on technology-supported guidance models, simulation-based learning, and critical thinking in clinical practice, and I peer review for the JMIR family of journals.
