Jasmaine Richardson
Student in Rock Hill, SC
Hey there, I’m Jasmaine Richardson. I currently live in Rockhill, SC. I have previously lived in Longs, SC a small city outside of Myrtle Beach, SC. I’m a senior at Winthrop University where I am majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Studies. My interest in Human Development began during the fall semester of 2018 when I had the opportunity to attend an informational meeting about what the major Human Development was about. I learned about the many inequalities and lack of education some families faced due to lack of resources, and much more. I currently serve as a member in is S.O.A.R (Serving Others and Reflecting) and S.O.A.R is is a student directed, service-oriented club that impacts the campus community and surrounding areas Projects cover a wide range of topics such as animal rights, children, elderly & special needs, environmental, healthcare, and hunger & homelessness. Some programs we are involved in are school tutors (locally) for afterschool centers or Homework Clinic, volunteering at organizations such as Children's Attention Home, and local schools, and we also volunteer for Boys and Girls Club. I am also a part of the Thrilling Theta Theta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. where I serve as the Grammateus. As Secretary of this organization, I keep up with minutes, handling correspondence, etc. When I am not busy with school, my organization, or volunteering I love doing DIYs, educating others, and anything dealing with food. I’m also interested in movies and travel. You can view my photos with a click on the button above.
