I am a student at the University of Washington Bothell, majoring in Health Studies and minoring in Global Health. I am an aspiring nurse and plan to go to nursing school for my future education. My current goal is to become a pediatric nurse and specifically work in the emergency department or intensive care unit. For my long term goal, I plan on going back to school while working as a nurse to obtain my Masters in Nursing, so that I can open my own practice. I realized that many families are unable to receive the care they need due to certain social determinants of health; I want to be able to open a practice that utilizes sliding scales and other resources to better serve my community, but also remain in compliance with state regulations and meet the income needed to sustain my practice. I currently work as a nursing assistant at an assisted facility, which gives me crucial skills for when I enter the nursing world. I also volunteer at Swedish in their Emergency Department and recently transferred to their NICU to be a baby cuddler, so I have an idea of how nurses work in those two specific departments.

Aside from school, work, and volunteer, I enjoy spending my free time with outdoor activities like traveling, snowboarding, and hiking in our great Pacific NorthWest. I also try to make time to spend it with my family and friends. Additionally, I love spending time inside creating DIY arts and crafts, baking, and bullet journaling in cafes.
