Hello, my name is Jasmine, and I am longtime resident of New Jersey. I am currently a full-time student journalist, and a freelance content creator covering the music scene in New Jersey.

After completing my Bachelor of Arts in Video Production at Rutgers University in 2021, I was entering a workforce still recovering from the Coronavirus Pandemic. Through my new journey of finding a vocation I realized that I needed to be more marketable to potential employers. I was competing with everyone that was laid off and fresh out of college. I needed to know more and be greater.

So, in August of 2021, I found myself enrolling into Full Sail University pursuing a Masters degree in New Media Journalism an online program. The online program gave me the freedom to find myself. This program has given me the opportunity to highlight the emerging musical talent that is coming from my home state.

Educating myself on the talents that has emerged from New Jersey has given me the inspiration to create this website. Who will be the next Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Bruce Springsteen, or Lauryn Hill? Am I witnessing them perform for the first time?

Ultimately, my goal is to use my education and real-life experiences to work in music for a record label or publication. For now, you can catch me at the local showcases and festivals perfecting my craft of videography and photography.
