Hello… it’s me.

Just kidding, I’m not Adele (though how amazing would that be?)

My name is Jasmine, I’m an undergraduate student, and in case that little introduction didn’t do the trick, my goal is to work in the music business.

I was raised on a variety of music, and have been to more concerts in my life than I (or my family) would care to admit, but that has only solidified the belief that I belong in this industry. After years of unforgettable experiences as a fan, I strive to be the one who gets to create new memories for global audiences. Managing current and future artists within the live entertainment sector is something I envision myself doing for the rest of my life.

My passion for music has led me from Montreal to the beautiful city of Toronto, where I have met many wonderful and talented people, and worked incredible jobs at events like Indie Week, Canadian Music Week, and NXNE. In fact, this past summer, a friend and I organized our first concert "BandsMash", which I also stage managed. It was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life, further validating that this is the industry I belong in.

I am currently studying in the Creative Industries program at Ryerson University, specializing in music business and professional communication. This interdisciplinary program has strengthened my skills relating to business and creative sectors, while instilling an entrepreneurial mindset - something I never thought I could possess. Additionally, I am currently the Marketing Lead for Ryerson Entertainment Conference, an annual event focused on bridging the gap between commerce and creativity. With every step of the way, I learn to go out of my comfort zone, let curiosity guide me, and embrace all that life has to offer.

That said, nothing can be done without a team! My motto, which believe it or not I use daily, is “team work makes the dream work” and I believe in that wholeheartedly.

So, what do you say… add me to your team?
