Jason Janes

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life having co-founded my first startup while I was in high school and I've never looked back. I've had the opportunity to work with and lead successful companies during the startup, commercialization, and exit stages. I've been involved with a several successful startups as well as a number of failures; learning at every stage.

I am co-founder of Startup NL Corp. (startupnl.ca), a not-for-profit organization that delivers events and programs to entrepreneurs; helping them accelerate their ideas during the critical startup phase. I am also co-founder of Geo-wise.com, improving search and retrieval times for location-aware data.

I've had the opportunity to consult with and deliver mobile enterprise solutions to some of the largest brands in the world such as Coca-Cola, Conagra Foods, Diageo, Labatt, Sainsbury's, Palmer and Harvey, Heineken, Praxair, Microsoft, Intermec, and Motorola Solutions to name a few.

My educational background is in software development but I lean towards the role of leading teams and performing the technical project management role. I do enjoy implementing enterprise solutions and the interfaces that connect them. I've helped develop and implement enterprise resource planning & accounting solutions, route accounting, direct store delivery, in-field sales & service solutions, as well as enterprise content management solutions for internet, extranet, & intranet.
