Dr. Jason McDonald
Project Manager in Ohio
Dr. McDonald is an environmental fate / modeling scientist with experience in the regulatory consulting industry. He currently works as Regulatory Specialist overseeing placement of Magnitude of Residue and Environmental Fate studies as Study Director and Study Monitor. With increasing responsibility as Manager of Regulatory Studies in the coming years. Dr. McDonald has experience using models to describe pesticide fate including 1st-order and nonlinear kinetics in intact and homogeneous soils. This also includes the use of EPA regulatory modeling for Tier I, II and III Environmental risk assessments for dietary, human/occupational and ecological exposure to pesticide residues. Also oversees the compilation of study data in preparation of pesticide registration packages to submit to EPA and prepares scientific rebuttals in defense of the work. To date, he has published 11 papers in scientific journals and presented in poster and oral presentations at 11 annual scientific conferences and local seminars.
Dr. McDonald’s scientific research included bioremediation; pesticide volatility, degradation, and modeling in soil at laboratory and field scale. Core areas of expertise include soil/water quality, xenobiotic/agrochemical fate in the environment, soil chemistry, and environmental sciences. He has designed and executed degradation / mineralization (static and flow), sorption (equilibrium and kinetic) and transport studies. A wide range of laboratory and field studies were developed which included field dissipation methodology, sampling strategies to describe soil spatial variability, volatile and solute transport (fumigants), and surface water flow.
I seek in building network connections and creating study designs for the placement and contracting of residue studies with agricultural workers and laboratories. Agricultural workers highly trained in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) are of utmost importance in this industry. Connect with me if you know of someone that does magnitude of residue and efficacy trials under GLP and who is starting out as either a newly trained or experienced Principal Field Investigator (PFI). Also I'd be interested in getting to know highly skilled and trained people in Quality Assurance (QA) who has audited and reviewed Notebook summaries and reports in support for pesticide data packages. I'd like to build a connection with you and hear more about your background and capabilities - email or call.
