I was lucky enough to learn from the best and I've had some amazing positions with some amazing companies. I will be eternally grateful for the training and opportunities that they provided me.

I'm absolutely obsessed with software development as well and spend EXCESSIVE amounts of time on the computer playing around with different software languages & developer toys. The internet is absolutely ridiculous. I jump online with the intention to make one quick stop and suddenly it's September...

I'm addicted to a variety of programming sites where I continue to hone my skills as well as develop new ones. I'm especially partial to the sites that abuse the principles and theories of gamification (you know who you are Codecademy, Code School, LearnStreet, & Code Avengers). What am I going to do with a virtual "badge" showing my accomplishments you ask? Or the thousands of earned points that are redeemable for... well, nothing? I don't know; but I MUST HAVE THEM...

I spend way too much money on Fiverr gigs, back far too many people on Kickstarter, subscribe to way too many e-mail newsletters, and let my grass grow way too long before mowing it.

The adorable little girl in my profile picture is my 4-year-old daughter, Kayla Mave Shechtman; and my reason for everything. I was definitely meant to be a father. She is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I'm working on a site right now, www.twistedmatterlabs.com, which will be home to an extensive marketplace of website templates, code snippets, and other great resources for web developers to get their hands on. There's a blog section of the site where newbies can go to soak up all the necessary tools of the trade and expand their knowledge to be successful web developers. Keep your eyes open!

As of November 2015, my partner and I are opening up a recycling center in Eastside Palmdale. I have no clue what I'm doing; I've never worked for a recycling center and I can't tell one plastic from another. But I'm great at crunching numbers, following the market, and generally starting and running small businesses; so I'm definitely excited! My partner on the other hand has years of experience in the recycling business and will be handling all the day-to-day operations. It'll be an interesting endeavor at the least!
