I am a freelance developmental editor and novelist in the greater Seattle area.
As a developmental editor, I help new writers get their head around the finer points of writing craft, story structure, character development, and all the other moving parts that makes a novel work. As well, I write a monthly column for Author Magazine on character development, blog on that same subject, and teach a variety of writing classes and workshops around the Puget Sound area.
As a novelist, I primarily write middle-grade and young-adult fiction, for which my philosophy is that those who think stories need to be "dumbed down" for kids are themselves the dumb ones.
To inquire about my services, check out my website, PlotToPunctuation.com, or drop me an e-mail.
To check out my novels, hie thee to Amazon! I have two in print at present:
Pebblehoof is a middle-grade adventure about a girl, the wild prairie horse she befriends, and the corrupt railroad barons trying to drive her family off their claim.
Bread for the Pharaoh is also a middle-grade adventure, about two kids from opposite sides of the Sphinx who team up to unmask a plot against the pharaoh's life.
