Manager, Student, and Project Manager in Asheboro, North Carolina
I am a 2012 graduate of the Bryan School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During my tenure in college, I worked 33+ hours per week, while attending 2-4 classes per semester.
I have learned much at my current job as a Assistant General Manager for Wendy’s, about interacting with co-workers and customers. Mostly I have learned to utilize my time management skills in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Currently I have been given lead on our in-store training program, and with the help of my four crew trainers, we expect to have everyone through their online classes by the end on March.
In my previous position at The Coffee Xchange, I took it upon myself to help improve the communication and teamwork that was previously lacking within the company. As those situations improved, we were able to better communicate with each other about what we felt we needed. New operating procedures were instituted, as well as making sure that everyone was properly trained for consistency between our stores. Customer service saw marked improvement in almost every shift, as well as customer satisfaction and repeat business. While there is still room for overall improvement, the foundations of teamwork and communication are laid to help foster and grow a solid base for the company.
During my tenure at Community One, I improved and advanced my skills in person to person contact and communication. Many customers would enter our branch with multiple questions, but with our guidance they would leave satisfied and more knowledgeable for the experience. During one instance, a customer entered with an overdrawn account. Due to our diligence, and ability to simplify and explain procedures, the customer left with a 10 year plan to decrease their debt, pay off their bills, and never be afraid of having an overdrawn checking account again.
