Play is the beginning of knowledge.
I work with educational researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to design learning environments so students can encounter and wrestle with new ideas. My training and research explores the intersection of philosophy and psychology, and I'm particularly interested in students' beliefs about the nature and limitations of human knowledge, their self-conceptions of ability, talent, and intelligence, and in their stories of resiliency, perseverance, and discovery. My dream is to build a network of schools that allow all children to achieve their own best promise.
