Jason Boron

Music Teacher in Perth, Australia

Jason Boron is an experienced music educator who has taught classroom music and directed choirs and instrumental ensembles in a range of schools. He is past Chairperson of the Western Australia Chapter of the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) and Past President of the Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia (KMEIA) Western Australian Branch. Jason has also served as a member of the KMEIA National Council and a Committee member for the Western Australian Orff-Schulwerk Association (WAOSA). Jason has worked as a consultant, pre-service teacher mentor and workshop presenter. In 2013, he led the introduction of a Music Every-Day program at Presbyterian Ladies’ College, the first for any Western Australian school. The project was a success and has been expanded in 2014 to include all students in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and pre-primary. Jason is a past recipient of the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship by the International Kodály Society. He recently graduated with a Master of Arts (Music Pedagogy) with highest honours from the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music, Hungary.
