Jason Bugg
Jason Bugg is a skilled baseball coach with diverse experience coaching at the high school and college levels. Currently, Jason Bugg serves with Mission College in Santa Clara, California as a part-time Wellness Human Performance Instructor and Assistant Softball Coach. His past experience with Mission College includes serving as Assistant Head Coach for the 2009-2010 season. During the course of his service with the college's baseball program, Jason Bugg has actively contributed to recruiting, fundraising, academic support, and more. Mr. Bugg's recent experience at the college level also includes acting as Volunteer Assistant Coach at San Jose State University and Assistant Coach at Chabot College in Hayward, California. Through his role as hitting, infield, and base-running coach at Chabot College, he helped to lead to the team to finish fifth in California in 2008.
At the high school level, Jason Bugg served as Head Coach for baseball teams at San Leandro High School in San Leandro, California, Athenian High School in Danville, California, and American High School in Fremont, California.
Prior to his career as a baseball coach, Jason Bugg played professionally in the Western League with the Bend Bandits, a minor league baseball team in Bend, Oregon. His honors with the team included earning All-Star for second base in 1995 and All-Star for third base in 1996. Jason Bugg also played professionally with the Atlanta Braves organization, earning Minor League Player of the Month in July 1993. As a college player, he was honored as Team MVP at San Jose State University in 1992.
Jason Bugg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from California State University, Hayward. Continuing his education at Saint Mary's College of California, he completed his Master of Arts in Health Physical Education in 2005.
