Jason Colleran
Jason developed a passion for fitness at a young age, and earned his first of several Personal Training Certifications immediately after high school. Since then, he has held several positions in the fitness industry, including being a collegiate strength coach, fitness manager, bootcamp leader, and kickboxing instructor. Jason is extremely versatile and specializes in everything from general weight loss, to strength and conditioning for world-class athletes.
As an athlete, Jason was a collegiate and professional baseball player and is an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai competitions. With several first place finishes in local and national competitions, he continues to expand his martial arts background through training with nationally renowned coaches and sparring partners. Jason's career in professional baseball was cut short by severe tendonitis and a hamstring tear. This sparked his curiosity about the way athletes break down from common sports injuries and how they might prevent it from happening in the future. His search led him to Greg Roskopf's Muscle Activation Techniques.
Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) is a systematic, biomechanical approach designed for identification and treatment of neuromuscular dysfunction. Jason recently completed his degree and now works every day to help MAT clients, as well as his training clients, function with more efficiency in both their fitness-related and day-to-day activities. His MAT work helps prolong athletes' careers, as well as allowing them to perform at a higher level.
Whether it's getting in shape or getting to the next level of competition, Jason has the knowledge and experience to get you there!
