Jason Encite is a writer and event organizer focused on Filipino culture and history. He is the co-host of the Filipino American podcast,“Future Ancestors."

Jason is a contributing author in AAPI anthologies Empire of Funk: Hip-Hop and Representation in Filipina/o America and I Am Asian: 50 People. 50 Stories. He also editor of the book, The Ten Dad Commandments: Fatherhood Through the Lens of Hip-Hop. Jason was a contributor to the Blog Era Hip-Hop website, The Smoking Section, as well as other online publications such as Complex - Green Label, King Magazine, and Vapors.

In addition to his work in the AAPI community, Jason is a Hip-Hop event producer, working with Grammy award-winning music producer Illmind, Webby winner Donwill, and former tour DJ for Jay Z, DJ Neil Armstrong. He got his start as the host of the first Filipino-produced Hip-Hop open mic showcase in New York called Guerrilla Words from 2004 to 2007.
