Jason Feavers

Behaviour Change Training and Consultancy

About me
Hi, I’m Jason - a behaviour change specialist with a passion for improving human health and wellbeing through real world application of evidence-based behaviour change approaches.

My work focuses on health improvement, with previous roles at Cancer Research UK, Rethink Mental Illness and within public health at City of York Council. I am also a qualified fitness trainer and exercise referral specialist. That experience ignited my curiosity about why people struggle with change, despite knowing the benefits. It led me to complete an MSc in Behaviour Change for Health and Wellbeing, studying psychology of behaviour, theories and models of behaviour change and applied behaviour change interventions.

Areas of expertise

  • Translating behaviour change theory and evidence into practice
  • Behaviour change training, including how to apply behaviour change theory, and effective behaviour change conversations
  • Implementation science and application of behavioural science within quality improvement challenges
  • Facilitation, stakeholder engagement, lived experience involvement and coproduction
  • Behaviour change research and evaluation, including participatory approach to evaluation using Ripple Effect Mapping
