Jason Gonzalez
united nations and rotary in New York
I'm a fundraising and communications professional, currently managing events and campaigns that engage adolescents and young people in UNICEF's advocacy efforts worldwide.
I live a life of "service above self" as a proud Rotarian and multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Under my presidency, the Rotary E-Club of Wall Street raised $190,000+ and received a Presidential Citation with Distinction.
Since 2015, I've represented Rotary- the world's largest service organization- to the United Nations in New York and have planned three signature conferences to help young leaders think globally while acting locally. I am currently supporting the planning of Rotary's first joint conference with UNICEF which will take place on October 30th.
I currently serve as the Assistant Governor for District 7230 focused on promoting, integrating, and recognizing Rotary's young leaders through Youth Service programmes: Interact, Early Act, RYLA, Rotaract and Youth Exchange.
Formerly, I had advised The Rotary Foundation on engaging younger generations in Rotary's programs and development. I have also served Rotary District 7230 as the Director of Social Media & Online Presence and Program Chair of a historical multi-District Conference: "75 years of action".
I am an alumna of Pace University, with a BA in Political Science and MPA in Nonprofit Management, as well as a National Champion of the Jefferson Awards for Public Service.
