Hornady's early career launched at a sporting goods marketing firm, where he managed over 200 dealers and distributors, learning the intricacies of business relationships and distribution networks. He later joined Redfield Riflescopes Inc., a Riflescope company, as Director of Sales and Marketing, where he led global campaigns, managed product development, and oversaw external communications. Though the company eventually closed, the experience proved invaluable, teaching him critical lessons in resilience and strategic planning.
