Jason Jamar

Jason grew up in Marble Falls, TX. He served four years in the Marine Corps after graduating from high school. While in the Marine Corps, he decided he wanted to see the country he had served. So, in September of 1999 he set out on a four thousand mile hike from San Diego, CA to Calais, ME. At the conclusion of this trek, he built a wooden sea kayak for a his return trip from Freeport, ME to Marble Falls, TX.

After his travels, Jason earned a B.B.A in Business Management from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He spent 5 years as a youth minister in China Spring, TX. He and his family relocated to the Texas Hill Country in 2011. He currently splits his time as a loving husband, a father to 4 children, sales manager for J Bar Contractor's Services, and Minister of Recreation at FBC Marble Falls. He plans on attending George W. Truett Seminary at Baylor University in the fall of 2014.
