“There is an Olympian within us all!” Falling 4 times and finishing dead last in my first race, taught me: “It’s not how many times you fall that matters, but how many times you get up.” Twenty years of training rewarded me with many successes but my failures served me the most. Missing the Olympics 3 times forced me to look deep within to find the strength to keep “getting up”. “Success comes to those who persevere. I never gave up on my dream of an Olympic medal.” Now my goal is to inspire others to keep getting up.
