Jason Lamberth
Jason Lamberth
Jason Lamberth creates sculpture, furniture and interiors from his studios in Berlin and Bali. Sourcing rare, old-growth teak, left to season under volcanic earth for sometimes up to a century, the artist turns each buried treasure into a modern heirloom. These one-of-a-kind pieces are objects of honest luxury.
Each tree excavated is a time capsule containing stories of ancient culture and the rise of empires. Jason’s mission is to create new stories that honor the timeless wonder of nature and our relationship with it.
Lamberth’s creative ethic stems from a reverence for modern masters, a fascination with ancient traditions, and the love of simple elegance. It ranges in scope from grand gestures that celebrate mammoth trees to the fine discipline of Japanese joinery or marquetry. His work is inspired by the creative opportunities and simple pleasures of inviting the outdoors inside.
Lamberth’s company is founded on three principles: Respect for craft, responsibility for resources, and reinvestment in ecological and social good. His collections of furniture, architectural millwork, lighting, and furnishings are handmade in Berlin and Bali from locally sourced material by craftsmen using both traditional and newly learned skills.
