Jason Lee

Lauded for his capable singing and acting by Anne Midgette of the Washington Post, Los Angeles area native Jason Lee continues to make his mark across many different mediums and eras of music.

Jason made his German debut as Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca, in the 2018-2019 season, with the Eduard von Winterstein Theater, in Annaberg-Buchholz. From 2021-2022, Jason was a member of the Music Theater ensemble at Theater Regensburg, where he performed as Alfred // Die Fledermaus, among other roles. Other important roles include: Tenor Soloist//Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Opernhaus Zürich, Dr. Cajus//Falstaff at Theater Hof, Rossillon//Die lustige Witwe at the Volkstheater Rostock, and Jamie in The Last Five Years with the Gerhart-Hauptmann Theater in Görlitz, Germany.

Jason holds degrees from the University of Maryland-College Park, and the Eastman School of Music, and furthered his education at the Aspen Music Festival and School and as a Studio Artist with the Wolf Trap Opera Company. Jason is also a recipient of a Richard Wagner Scholarship [2019] to Bayreuth, Germany bestowed on him by the Richard Wagner Society of Chemnitz Germany.

Beginning with the 2023-2024 Season, Jason will be part of the ensemble at the Wuppertaler Bühnen, as well as continuing his work as a freelance artist in Berlin, Germany. Performances include roles in “Angel's Bone” by Chinese American composer Du Yun, as well as “Tristan und Isolde” and “Cinderella.” Jason will also continue to take part in new music projects with the Berlin-based ensemble, Solistenensemble PHØNIX16.
